Fitness runs in the family! Chris Hemsworth’s dad Craig, 67, keeps up with his Thor star son as they perform a sweaty Father’s Day workout
Chris Hemsworth has shared a sweaty workout alongside his dad Craig, 67, to mark Father’s Day in Australia.
The actor, 39, uploaded an Instagram clip of himself doing a heavy workout at the gym with his dad on Sunday.
‘Just had a really fun training session with my dad, thought I was going to teach him a thing or two but turns out the old dog has a few tricks up his sleeve,’ Chris wrote next to the video.

The father-son duo’s workout included 12 bicep curls with heavy dumbbells.
Chris went on to show the pair doing ‘push-up claps’, completing 10 reps, and a ‘farmer’s carry’ for 10 metres.
The pair then moved on to the ‘medicine ball pass’, doing 10 reps, and the ‘medicine ball pass front squat’, completing another 10 reps.

Chris was keen to praise his dad who, with whom he has trained at the gym since childhood.
‘Some of my greatest memories from when I was a kid are training with my dad,’ he began, feeling nostalgic.
Chris went on to reveal his dad made him a hurdle out of a piece of timber during his childhood.

‘I used to compete in the 110m hurdles but didn’t have enough space to train as we lived on top of a very steep hill,’ he said.
‘My dad built me a single hurdle out of timber and I used the 15 meter driveway we had to practice over and over again.’
‘Just he and I till the sun went down having fun, having a laugh. I got 2 state medals with his help. Here we are 25 years on still laughing and still moving.
Chris went on to reveal his dad made him a hurdle out of a piece of timber during his childhood, which helped him propel his lifelong love of fitness
He finished by wishing his dad a ‘Happy Father’s Day.’
It comes after Chris finished filming Mad Max prequel Furiosa in Sydney last week.
The film features a small cameo from his father, who plays a post apocalyptic bikie.

Film fans will be glad to see filming has resumed after production was shut down earlier this month after director George Miller caught Covid-19.
It’s understood Miller, 77, tested positive and had to isolate at his Sydney home.
Furiosa is a prequel to 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road, with actress Anya Taylor-Joy starring as the titular character.
Furiosa began production in Broken Hill in April, with scenes also being filmed in various locations across New South Wales.
