The Boston Celtics could see the finish line. A 3-2 lead was right there if they could just keep their wits about them and stay on their feet. And then one stumble. Then another, and another, and suddenly, improbably, the Milwaukee Bucks nipped them at the tape to steal control of the East semifinal series.

Now, the action shifts back to Milwaukee for Game 6 and one of the most significant moments of the Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown era. 

The duo, which has been together since Tatum arrived in the 2017 draft, has already made a number of deep playoff runs together. There was the surprise trip to the Eastern Conference finals in Tatum’s rookie season in 2018, where they ultimately lost Game 7 at home to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. They got back to the ECF in 2020 in the bubble, but were not fully healthy and couldn’t take care of business against the Miami Heat in a strange environment. 

Both of those defeats were frustrating, but they felt like positive stepping stones for a young team at the time. The reins hadn’t fully been handed to Tatum and Brown, and in neither season were the Celtics likely to actually win the title if they broke through to the Finals — certainly not in 2018 against the Golden State Warriors at the height of their powers, and probably not against the LeBron and Anthony Davis-led Lakers in 2020.

None of those caveats apply this time around. This is well and truly Tatum and Brown’s team, and it would be a massive disappointment if they bow out in the second round, even to the defending champions. The title race is wide open this season, and

Colts proprietor Jim Irsay phone calls Carson Wentz era ‘a mistake’

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay had a ton to say about his previous quarterback Carson Wentz at the owners conferences on Tuesday, and it doesn’t feel like he held again a one emotion.

“I think the worst detail you can do is have a error and attempt to retain living with it going ahead,” Irsay reported by way of the Indianapolis Star. “For us, it was a thing we had to transfer away from as a franchise. It was pretty noticeable.”

That sentiment just isn’t a surprise, due to the fact approximately absolutely everyone observed the Wentz-Colts relationship was not operating by the close of the season. But to hear Irsay say it so baldly is unforeseen. In his feedback on Tuesday, Irsay did not look to hold anything again or sugarcoat a solitary thought or sensation.

Irsay was primarily pointed when chatting about the Colts’ 7 days 18 loss to the flailing, going-nowhere Jacksonville Jaguars. That Wentz-engineered loss took Indy out of the playoffs, and it proceeds to haunt him.

“No disrespect to Jacksonville, but I indicate, they’re the worst staff in the league. You engage in effectively and really hard for the initially quarter or so, and they are seeking to go to their locker home and clean up it out. I’ve by no means observed something like that in my existence,” Irsay said. “You say, ‘My God, there’s a little something completely wrong listed here.’ It demands to be corrected. I consider that we experience like we did.”

“Your guy’s gotta decide on you up and have you as a result of Jacksonville,” Irsay mentioned. “He has to do it. Not an option. Has to. No excuses, no explanations.”

Formula 1: Haas kickstart revolutionary 2022 era with first look at new car and livery

Haas become the first team to reveal images of the 2022 car ahead of physical reveal at first pre-season test; Team stick to white-based livery from last year but big changes to car clear to see; New rules focused on improving racing with overhauled aerodynamics

Haas have provided a first look at the all-new Formula 1 cars by unveiling their livery for the 2022 season, as the sport prepares for a shake-up amid the dramatic regulation changes.

The new F1 rules – introduced to help closer, more competitive and exciting racing – have been described as the biggest technical overhaul in 40 years, and Haas became the first team to release images of a 2022 design on Friday.

While not a physical reveal, with the American team’s challenger expected to look different when it hits the track, the renders do highlight the aesthetic changes and the overhauled aerodynamics, with a new floor, wings and 18-inch tyres the big changes.

Haas are set for an official unveiling of their car before the first morning of pre-season testing, just as they have done since joining the grid in 2016.

They have an unchanged driver line-up for this year, retaining Mick Schumacher – son of F1 legend Michael – and Nikita Mazepin, who joined the team as rookies last season.

The new rules offer all teams a clean slate to redesign their cars and reshape their fortunes, and Haas in particular will be looking to take advantage of that opportunity.
